Keen-eyed locals may have noticed that the first of the Mount Victoria Heritage Trail in-ground bronze plaques have been installed in the village.
The self-guided walking tour will guide visitors to 9 historic sites within the village centre and is designed to encourage visitors to spend more time (and dollars!) in our charming village. Visitors will be able to access the trail through a free printed brochure, online interactive map and an accessible audio guide – these will be available in the coming weeks.
The heritage trail is part of the Black Summer Bushfire Recovery Grant Program being delivered by Blue Mountains City Council. The project also includes town centre amenity upgrades (Memorial Park accessible path, formal park entrance, art installation, street trees and benches), village carpark upgrades, a new visitor information sign, and a business support program.
